ในที่สุดรางวัลใหญ่แห่งวงการภาพยนตร์อย่าง รางวัลออสการ์ หรือ อคาเดมี่ อวอร์ดส์ (Academy Awards) ก็ได้ประกาศรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลทุกสาขาออกมาแล้วเป็นที่เรียบร้อย โดยจะจัดงานอย่างเป็นทางการในวันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2022

สำหรับปีนี้ภาพยนตร์ The Power of the Dog ผลงานจากทาง Netflix ได้เฉิดฉายในรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลมาแล้วในหลายเวทีภาพยนตร์ อย่างเช่นได้เข้าชิงรางวัล BAFTA มากถึง 8 สาขา และผู้กำกับฯ แจน แคมป์เปี้ยน (Jane Campion) ยังเป็นตัวเต็งระหว่างผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลสาขาผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยมเคียงคู่กับ พอล โธมัส แอนเดอร์สัน (Paul Thomas Anderson) จาก Licorice Pizza และสตีเว่น สปีลเบิร์ก (Steven Spielberg) จาก West Side Story ส่วนรางวัลสาขานักแสดงนำชาย-หญิงยอดเยี่ยมก็ฟาดฟันไม่แพ้กันระหว่างผู้เข้าชิงจาก The Power of the Dog, West Side Story, Spencer และ King Richard
